We're not about dogma or prescribed beliefs.

Unity is part of the New Thought movement, offering a positive, practical, and progressive approach to Christianity—but you don't need to be Christian to find a home here. All backgrounds, beliefs, and questions are welcome.

Our Founder: Rev. Teri Hawkins
Unity Community of Central Oregon was founded in Bend by Rev. Teri Hawkins and her husband Steve, alongside 20 passionate founding members. With hearts full of hope and a vision for spiritual transformation, Rev. Teri led this small but mighty group as they began meeting in various locations throughout Bend, planting the seeds of what would become a thriving spiritual sanctuary.
New Leadership, Continued Vision
Rev. Jane Hiatt stepped into the role of Senior Minister as Rev. Teri Hawkins retired. Under Rev. Jane's compassionate leadership, Unity Central Oregon continued to grow in membership and spiritual depth, becoming a beacon of inclusive spirituality and wild soul sanctuary for seekers across Central Oregon.
Finding Our Permanent Home
After years of gathering in various spaces throughout Bend, Unity Central Oregon moved to its current sanctuary at 63645 Scenic Drive. This beautiful location, nestled in the high desert landscape, became more than just a building—it became a true spiritual home where community, connection, and consciousness flourish.
A Community That Grows Together
Unity Central Oregon experienced steady growth in both membership and engagement. With approximately 150 members and countless regular participants, our community expanded to include Spirit Groups, classes, programs, and outreach ministries. Multiple ordained ministers and spiritual practitioners joined our team, creating a rich tapestry of wisdom and service.
Becoming a Wild Soul Sanctuary
We evolved our identity to embrace our true nature: a Wild Soul Sanctuary where spiritual seekers of all backgrounds find belonging, freedom, and authentic spiritual practice. Mission-centric and alive, we focus on embodying love and awakening spiritual consciousness—allowing the forms to evolve while staying true to timeless spiritual principles.
A New Chapter Begins
William Gregory was chosen as Unity Central Oregon's new Spiritual Leader, marking an exciting new era for our community. With the full support and commitment of our Board of Directors, William brings fresh vision and energy as we continue our mission of embodying love, awakening spiritual consciousness, and co-creating a world that works for all.

"God" is absolute good, everywhere present
There is only one power and one presence in all the Cosmos. You might call this presence God, Higher Power, Source, All That Is, Spirit, Vibration, Light, Creator, Mystery, etc… it does not matter. This Unnameable Quantum Force is palpable. It transcends, infuses, expresses as, and emanates from all that exists and all that may exist.
We are divine expressions
Because this Force expresses as us, we are more than we appear to be. We are spiritual emanations of the Light.
We create our experiences through thought and belief
We create our life experiences through our consciousness. Our thinking results in beliefs about what is possible. Beliefs lead to actions. We can change our lives by changing our thinking.
Affirmative prayers
Prayer is a radical technology for changing our consciousness. It is not a way to change God’s mind, but to align our own minds with Divine Truth.
Embodying
Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough. We must live them.

William brings a deep commitment to embodying love and awakening spiritual consciousness. His vision aligns beautifully with our identity as a Wild Soul Sanctuary—a community where seekers of all backgrounds find belonging, authentic spiritual practice, and the freedom to explore their own sacred path.
With William's leadership, we continue our mission of co-creating a world of Unity, spiritual awakening, and loving kindness. His approach honors the timeless spiritual principles that guide us while allowing the forms to evolve, keeping our community alive, relevant, and responsive to the needs of all who gather here.

BEFORE SERVICE (9:45 AM)
• Parking is easy and free
• Dress comfortably (we're casual!)
• Greeters will welcome you
(let them know you're new, and they'll show you around)
DURING SERVICE (10:00-11:15 AM)
• Live music to start
• Celebration and Announcements
• Guided meditation (5-10 minutes)
• Inspirational message from our minister
• Optional offering (never required)
• Closing song and blessing for the week ahead
AFTER SERVICE (11:15 AM+)
• Coffee, tea, and conversation
